The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Mar 29, 2025, sent to the company Apr 2, 2025, published by CPSC Apr 16, 2025

The product, in the report: 5/6 in. Integrated LED Recessed Retrofit Light Trim with Selectable Color Temperature CEC-T20, (1-Pack

License electrician installing recessed down lights at a job and after the installation was complete two of the four units did not work while grabbing one of the units to investigate the issue I was electrocuted from one of the units causing pain in my left arm and my heart to beat weird. After removing both the faulty units I discovered that the main connectors that attach to the unit which supply its power has very weak connects and it allows the wire to become free exposing live conductors which can easily be touched while servicing or even just cleaning the units. Two out of the four units had this issue. I went back and looked at the reviews and the most current review was about this same issue with a reply from the company.

Made Sep 9, 2015, sent to the company Sep 17, 2015, published by CPSC Oct 1, 2015

The product, in the report: 5 light Chandelier in Umber Sunset Finish with Rustic Scavo Glass Vendor: 11370 Date: May 2007 Model# DTN8115-2 SKU# 841-675 UPC# 69405003

Connection hardware on an install chandelier had failed and I noted the chandelier hanging from a wire with the heavy base and 5 large glass globes fell on top crashed on shoulders of two adults then sideways and onto table. The cast metal connectors which attached the chandelier base to the ceiling down rod had failed and disintegrated. There are two of these cast metal connectors (one to mount the chandelier base and globes upright and one to mount the chandelier base and globes downward). Both of the these cast metal connectors were disintegrating and flaked and split into pieces when touched. Both of connectors were defective, the consumers needs to know about their chandelier it will fall once the cast metal connectors disintegrate and the chandelier breaks loose and hurt someone. I called home depot to report the problem and the customer service that took my information response was to buy another fixture. Home depot do not take safety serious. I was told to buy another chandelier by home depot customer service when i told them about the cast non metal connectors are failing.
