The product, in the report: Model# CP-4108-TS-RS Brand: Capital Lighting Height: 35.75” Width: 29” Shade: Rust Scavo glass Finish: Tortoise Lamping: (4) 100W incandescent, medium base (E26) (Bulb NOT included) Weight: 44 lbs
Capital Lighting Fixture (model 4108-TS-RS) has been installed in our home for 7 years and 9 months. Our home was custom built and our lights were installed by a licensed electrician.
Without warning, the part of the light fixture (all one solid piece with the frame) broke and fell from the chain. No one was in the room at the time and there were no injuries.
This light fixture was hanging over our kitchen table (I estimate weight at at least 30 pounds). Had there been people present at the table or in the room, there is a high chance that an injury would have occurred from fixture or shattering glass).
