The product, in the report: Casablanca ceiling fan (Hunter Fan Company), Product is white, 3 blades, glass & metal globe that covers 2 light bulbs. Globe screws & unscrews (difficult to do). Professionally installed.
We have a Casablanca ceiling fan, model C22G11L, professionally installed over our kitchen table. It contains a rather heavy glass & metal globe on the bottom that covers the light bulbs. This globe screws in & out. One morning a few weeks ago, the globe suddenly & unexpectedly dropped onto the kitchen table, shattering a china bowl & narrowly missing my husband’s head. We had not changed a light bulb in maybe a year. We do not live in an area prone to earthquakes. Shards of china flew everywhere. My husband would have been seriously injured or concussed if his head had been leaning forward only 2-3 inches. The globe is needlessly heavy. Hunter/Casablanca fan company is difficult to deal with.
