  1. No one hurt

Made Feb 12, 2021, sent to the company Mar 4, 2021, published by CPSC Mar 18, 2021

The product, in the report: Allen & Roth Latchbury 9 Light Chandelier Item 0810101 Model FD19-066-1

There was a short in the Allen & Roth Latchbury 9-light chandelier (item 0810101 model FD19-066-1) I purchased at Lowe’s on Feb 1 2021. It caused sparks to fly when I screwed in the lightbulb to two of the sockets, and caused the circuit to trip. I used two different wattages of LED bulbs that were compatible with the fixture, both well below the max wattage requirement, and it happened each time. I reported the issue to Lowe’s, who referred me to Lowes Private Brands Customer Support, who then referred me back to Lowe’s consumer support, so I was sent in circles. The fixture was very clearly a fire hazard and posed a danger to my and my family’s safety. I had to pay extra for the electricians to come back a second day and bring additional scaffolding, and Lowe’s has been unwilling and unable to assist.

I have a Allen & Roth Flexible Track Lighting System that is extremely dangerous - parts simply break and fall down. I have had two lamp assemblies break off and fall off of the track and onto the floor. Both times no one was at the house. I now have a mounting assembly that has broken and the track is falling. This is very dangerous! Incident dates: estimated 11/15/2015, 4/20/2016. Latest incident: 10/01/2017.
