The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

Made Oct 30, 2016, sent to the company Nov 7, 2016, published by CPSC Nov 22, 2016

The product, in the report: All-Pro ERT-701 shower light trim; white plastic ring (holder) with translucent glass insert and

My All-Pro shower light trim model # ERT701 fell from the shower ceiling fixture and both the trim and the glass insert shattered on the shower floor. The date code of the unit is 2002-2-2. I am reporting this incident because it appears that the hazard extends far beyond the original CPSC date code span (347 11 through 119 12) indicated in the original recall notice of August 29, 2012. I will be contacting Cooper Industries to inquire about a free replacement trim and glass for the shower light hoping that they will honor the recall/replacement despite the fact that the date code on my unit preceded the date code range of the recall. I suspect that since this hazard extends further back in time than initially thought, CPSC might consider revisiting this issue to include a broader date range.
