The product, in the report: Sunbeam 14.5W 3000K LED bulb, model 30414212, E468262. REF # YMT A19 14.5W 1603-30
Sunbeam LED 14.5W bulb (model 30414212, E468262, lot 10002), installed in a house’s dome ceiling-mounted fixture, began glowing red and smoking. The end of the bulb as well as the joint between the base and the rest of the bulb body have melted and burned plastic. The bulb body had separated slightly from the base. Thankfully we spotted it quickly enough to prevent a fire or injuries.

The product, in the report: Sunbeam 14.5W 3000K LED bulb, model 30414212, E468262
Sunbeam LED 14.5W bulb (model 30414212, E468262, lot 10002) went out, made strange noises, and started smoking. A decent-size cloud, not a little wisp. The base had slightly separated from the bulb body, as has happened with every Sunbeam bulb I “inherited” when buying this house; the only way to remove it from the fixture (with switch off!) was to twist the bulb until the wires inside broke, remove the bulb body, then remove the bulb base. I also removed and replaced the other 3 Sunbeam bulbs in the fixture; while they also had separated bases, the wires didn’t break during removal.

No one hurt Made Mar 24, 2021, sent to the company Jun 17, 2021, published by CPSC Apr 15, 2021
The product, in the report: Sunbeam LED lamp. 14.5 watt A-19 Model 30414212 lot #10002
I heard a loud pop coming from the adjacent bed room, then the snap sound of a circuit breaker tripping. I found the room full of “magic smoke” (magic smoke is an industry term) and the light fixture shade was black with soot. After ventilating the room and turning off the switch, I removed the shade and found one of the two Sunbeam 14.5 watt A-19 lamps blackened and burned. Removing the lamp required a pipe wrench and I found the center pin of the lamp holder completely vaporized. The wall switch that operates the fixture is a standard snap switch not a dimmer. I checked voltage with a multimeter and found an average of 120.2 volts over a twenty minute period deviating + or - 0.2 volts. There was a lot small molten metal partials inside the fixture shade. I believe if the lamp had not been completely enclosed there would have been a high risk of fire.

No one hurt Made Mar 16, 2016, sent to the company Apr 25, 2016, published by CPSC May 9, 2016
The product, in the report: Standard Light Bulb, 60 Watts Item # 13730
The caller may have purchased the light bulbs about 1-2 years ago.
The caller stated that he had 7 of these light bulbs installed in 2 separate fixtures in his kitchen.
The glue that holds the glass and the wire in the metal base appears to have failed. The light bulbs were hanging by live wire. The caller stated that he noticed this when he went to change one of the light bulbs. The light bulb flashed (electric sparks) while trying to change it. After that, he inspected the light fixture and noticed that the 7 light bulbs were hanging by wire.
The caller had to use a plier to take out the base of the light bulbs from the light fixture.
The caller contacted the company on 3/14/16 regarding the incident. The company representative apologized for the issue and informed him that they would provide a refund for the unused bulbs. The caller has 9 packages (4 light bulbs in each) that have been unused. The caller offered to send back the failed light bulbs to the company for an inspection but the company asked him to keep it.
The caller stated that the glue on the light bulbs was crumbly and fell out on the kitchen counter-top.
The caller stated that he also had one of a different brand light bulb installed in the same fixture. That light bulb did not have any issues.

The product, in the report: Sunbeam incandescent light bulbs. 60, 75, 100 watt.
Issue with Sunbeam light bulbs. They sell them at the Dollar Store locally, but it is a fairly popular brand. DANGEROUS! The sealant they use causes the glass to separate from the metal sleeve. Once it does, the bulb falls off, and the filament can hit the sleeve and causes a short. Note the scoring on both bulbs, and the filament fused to the sleeve. Fire hazard. Stay away!

The product, in the report: Sunbeam light bulb. 1500LM 120V.
On 1/13/14 at 9:00pm. I reached to turn off the light connected to my headboard. When I touched the lamp the bulb fell out of the lamp and burned my eyelid, my cheek and my upper arm. The light was still burning the bulb came loose from the screw in part and fell off. If this had fallen on my grandchild who could not have gotten away for the bulb he would have been badly burned. This light bulb needs to be removed from production.

The product, in the report: Sunbeam CFL lightbulb E217504 18W UL listed 93AF
My wife was in the bathroom and heard a hissing kind of sound and then saw smoke coming from a light fixture in our bathroom. She immediately turned off the light and called to me. When I went in there was smoke coming from the light area of the fixture even though it was off. I grabbed a pair of leather gloves and quickly removed the light fixture from the wall by unscrewing the two small brass nuts. I tipped the fixture and when I looked in I could see the smoke emanating from the base of the bulb. I removed the bulb and set it outside to cool ( was -16 out) .
This is an open fixture in a dry location so moisture and heat buildup should nut be to blame.
The bulb in question is a Sunbeam CFL marked E217504 18W

The product, in the report: Sunbeam 20 watt fluorescent light bulb. 120v 60Hz 319mA, 93AF E217504, Made in China.
I heard a hissing sound coming from my living room about 50 feet away from where I was. I went into the living room and it sounded as though it was coming from a lamp which had a single flourescent light bulb in it. I smelled electrical fire, immediately turned the lamp off, unplugged it and moved it outside the house. There I removed the bulb and the base of the bulb was very hot and it smelled of smoke. There is a brown singed are around one of the pieces of glass tubing of the bulb exits the base to the remainder of the glass bulb.. It was a Sunbeam MT-20 fluorscent bulb.
Thank goodness I was home, this is the lamp I have on a timer to come on when I am out of town. I had just returned from a business trip the preceding night.

Regarding compact fluorescent bulbs (Sunbeam 13W #E217916 #53SJ). Additional information on bulb 120V 60Hz 200mA FE-IIS-015W 15W 0504 Made in China. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
On 6/26/11, a Sunbeam CFL began to smoke and was very close to starting on fire. Fortunately, I was standing in the same room and noticed a burning plastic odor, looked up and saw the smoke coming from the bulb on the ceiling fan. If I had not been in the room, or worse, had not been home and that light were left on, there would have been a fire in the house.
I attempted to see if there were recalls for Sunbeam CFLs, but did not see any such information at sunbeam.com. I have used CFLs for years but am now leery, especially with Sunbeam brand.
