The product, in the report: AFD crews were dispatched on April 19th, and July 5th to [REDACTED] for possible structure fires. On both instances a small fire had occurred due to a failure of a light ballast. Fire Investigation revealed that the same type of light ballast was the cause of both fires.
The Asheville Fire Department has responded to an address for a possible structure fire. When we arrived we found that a fire had ignited in a light ballast. This happened on two separate instances where our fire investigation shows the fire was caused due to a failure of the light ballast in a florescent light tube.
