The product, in the report: 7 Watt, LED Lighting - LED replacement bulb The hard plastic material between the screw-in base and the metal fin housing is cracking and pieces are falling out of the fixture. Also the head of the fixture has become loose from the base. After much persistence on part of consumer company finally sent replacement bulbs which were of a kind and quality inferior to the original. Original cost $40 and replacement retails for $3.00. This product should be recalled along with the rest of the product line which was previously recalled. This product is a safety hazard and should be recalled.
Within the last 2 - 3 months, the consumer noticed that some of the bulbs in his light fixture had failed. Also, with the slighted touch on the bulbs, he discovered that the glass portion was extremely loose and no longer secured to the base.. The consumer estimates that this problem has occurred with 2 or 3 bulbs so far.
The bulbs are in a kitchen light fixture that is used daily.
The consumer has not attempted to replace any of the bulbs so far.
The problem seems to be identical to the ones in [REDACTED].
