The product, in the report: This is a large, multi-LED lamp which I believe generates 5,000 lumens.
I installed a Intertek 353-8908 LED light in my building. It has a wood structure covered by aluminum. After a few weeks of occasional use, I turned it on and noticed it started blinking. I was shocked when I walked under it and saw the top was chard black and melted. Shoot from the fire also covered part of the ceramic light base it was screwed into. The lamp claimed to be very bright and it was. It also claims on the lamp that it is suitable for use in damp locations. My building roof is NOT DAMP and the bulb is/was operating in normal, and open, well ventilated location. Had I not noticed the fire it was creating or if I had left it on unattended I believe I would be reporting the loss of my $70,000 building and perhaps injury to my family or home. This bulb/lamp should be recalled immediately.
