The product, in the report: [REDACTED] lightbulb
I purchased a [REDACTED] controlled lightbulb from IKEA (KAJPLATS) which caused an arc from the outlet to the partially plugged in lamp cord, which resulted in partially melting the metal prongs of the lamp plug. This made the plug very hard to remove from the wall outlet and would have been very dangerous had the circuit breaker not flipped off. I replaced the outlet receptacle to be safe. I exchanged the bulb at IKEA at explained the situation, but the new bulb also tripped the circuit. I suspect there is a faulty batch of bulbs.

No one hurt Made Jul 11, 2019, sent to the company Jul 26, 2019, published by CPSC Aug 9, 2019
The product, in the report: A small LED bulb with the smallest screw base used on 120 volt bulbs, possibly an E12.
I found an Ikea lamp in the trash dumpster in my 60-unit apartment complex. It had an Ikea LED bulb in it, model # LED1715G3. The bulb was seriously melted down and charred, exposing part of the circuit board. Apparently, in order to melt itself down like that, the bulb had drawn enough current to melt and char the cord and switch on the lamp. I have retained both the bulb and the lamp and will be happy to send pictures or the items themselves to you. I’m not sure who the lamp belonged to. As far as I know no fire resulted from this incident, but it certainly could have. It is also possible that the lamp and bulb could have been damaged by an external fire or heat source, but there have been no fires in the complex as far as I know.
