The product, in the report: Greenlight Self Ballasted Lamp made in China. 23w 120v 60hz 420mA. Serial number I think or model is E176533.
We have these light bulbs all through our home including 6 in the basement. 1 of our bathrooms are in the basement in which my 10 yr old daughter was using at the time. She turned on the light switch to go downstairs into the basement to enter the bathroom and while she was in there the incident occurred. She ran upstairs in a panic to tell me that she smelled something burning and stinky and that the light had went out. I quickly ran down in the dark to find a foggy / smokey basement with a horrible burning and chemical smell which stayed for about 4-6 hrs. I couldn’t find where the burning smell was coming from so I inturn also panicked and call the fire dept through 911 because it didn’t want our home to burn down not knowing the source. My husband was at work and other daughter wasn’t yet home from school. The firemen found it and turned off the breaker cutting off power to that light source until my husband returned home (he’s an electrician). The bulb literally burned and charred the fixture in the process. This could have caused our house to burn down and the light which this happened is literally in the path we walk each time we go down stairs right above our heads. My daughter had to travel under that light that was burning to come get me and the chemical smell was so strong it could still potentially cause her problems. The scariest thing I’ve ever encountered. I am removing ALL OF THESE from my home immediately. See photos.

No one hurt Made Feb 15, 2012, sent to the company Feb 24, 2012, published by CPSC Mar 9, 2012
The product, in the report: Compact fluorescent light bulb. Greenlight 13w/ELS-M2700K 120v 60Hz 225mA L40 FCC ID: N6AFJEEJL0898
Returned home and smelled what appeared to be an electrical fire. Further investigation found a compact fluorescent bulb base had turned a brownish yellow color and was very hot to the touch. The base of the bulb by the metal screw in portion has 4 distinct black burn marks. When removed we found that this was the source of the burning electrical smell. The fluorescent white circular tube were a very dark gray color. The other bulb in the fixture appeared to be ok and did not have the burnt electrical smell. The fixture itself did not appear to have any malfunctions or defects.
