The product, in the report: Light bulbs Dear CPSC! The light bulb packages have the number #1335020 on them, and they are made by GE Hungaria KFT, imported from Hungary. Purchase date: [Approx] Aug 2016

This caller is reporting light-bulbs purchased from Dollar General manufactured in Hungary 72 watt 120 volt 36 soft white 1270 lumens. No manufacture name, no style number or item number. He purchased one package of these same bulbs a few years ago and after approximately two or three months of use in a ceiling fixture the bulb exploded completely separating the bulb from the base and throwing glass all over his bed and floor. He purchased another package of the same bulbs around July/August 2016 then began using them in another location and in a floor lamp around the same time. About the third week in November the light in the floor lamp also exploded after around three months. The caller is reporting these bulbs as an injury hazard stating that no one was near his bulbs but if someone had been under or near them at the time of explosion they may have suffered eye injury or laceration. There are no injuries being reported The caller has not contacted the manufacturer mostly because he has no idea who that may be, he his however planning to check with his place of purchase to submit an inquiry for this information.
