Please note that this is a no injury report with an incident, or a “near mis.” Near miss being a potential house fire and family displacement,injury or death.The incident is as described below. bulb was used in an approved stand up floor 3 way lamp. I noticed the bulb was out as I went to use the lamp. I took the “Future Lumens” spiral light out to replace it and noticed the base was burnt, melted and discolored. I unplugged the lamp and will inspect and replace if necessary. Prior to that I remember a weird smell on Saturday March 18th 2023 as I walked near the light and thought nothing of it.
