Installed Philips ecoVantage 29-watt lightbulbs in a chandelier. Within 45 minutes i heard a loud pop.... About 15 minutes later a second pop. The product, in the report: Philips EcoVantage soft white 29w=40w dimmable mercury free bulb.
We had an explosion of a medium base A19 light bulb that was installed in a kitchen dimmable open fixture base up. The light bulb was a Philips EcoVantage soft white 29w=40w dimmable mercury free bulb. The explosion was caused by the inner element, which appears to be a halogen bulb. No one was in the room at the time, but the outer glass envelope was shattered, sending shards onto the kitchen table and floor.

The product, in the report: Philips 43w EcoVantage Soft White A19 light bulb, 750 lumens
My master bedroom has a hanging light fixture in the center of the bedroom that is partially enclosed as it is open on top. It is a 3 bulb fixture rated at 60W per bulb. Tonight, one of the 43w light bulbs in the fixture exploded and sent sharps pieces of glass all over my bedroom. The explosion happened within one minute after turning off the light fixture. Fortunately, I was not injured.
