The product, in the report: light bulb - The bulb trademark is “daylight24 natural daylight anytime”. Type is: 120v AC, FML27W 6400K. Number on the bulb base is 905.

We have a lamp with an energy-saving flourescent bulb, which I mail-ordered from an ad in a newspaper supplement. The bulb failed and it began to smoke and melted plastic at the base of bulb and on the lamp before we were able to get the lamp unplugged. The base of the bulb was severely charred, and would likely have caught on fire if we had not been in the room. Toxic (most likely) fumes were released and we had to air out the house. The bulb is the one that was supplied with the lamp.

The bulb trademark is “daylight24 natural daylight anytime”. Type is: 120v AC, FML27W 6400K. Number on the bulb base is 905. The lamp is: [REDACTED]. Has a UL certification label from 2008: Listed portable luminaire, issue number [REDACTED].
