I had a bulb in a table lamp in a bedroom for just over a week. The lamp is rarely on. But one evening while my mom was getting ready for bed, we heard a loud pop. We rushed into her bedroom and the bulb had exploded. Smelled hot and parts of the bulb flew everywhere! Im just glad my 96 yr old mom was not very close to it or she might have been injured.
