The product, in the report: Conglom C-UPR63M Ceiling can light LED replacement This lamp was purchased from Costco at the end of last year and installed in a hallway by the front door and was used for a maximum of a few hours because it is only used when we have company. It failed the other night. I took the lamp apart and was flabbergasted to find that there was a small fire that was probably the result of the LED failure. Since there was no fuse to protect the house, a potentially dangerous situation occurred. The LED apparently failed and erupted (marks on the inside of the lenses) the high current of the failed LED burned the circuit board cutting off current to the LED. The LED cooled and essentially went open circuit.
