The product, in the report: Compact fluorescent light bulbs 100 watts 26 watts
The consumer is not aware of the florescent compact bulb was purchased from and estimate s that it has been in the light fixture for approximately two.
The light was powered in the on position (the exact amount of time is unknown) when he walked into his garage he noticed a electrical burning smell. When he looked above in the ceiling he noticed that there was smoke coming from the light fixture.
He powered the lights in the off position and removed the bulb from the ceiling light fixture and noticed that it was glowing and burnt around the base of the bulb.
The firm was contacted on 10/17/2011 and he was referred to another number (he isn’t exactly sure who the other number belongs to) and no one answered it was just a voicemail so he did not leave a message.
He then contacted his local Fire Department who advised him to replace the bulb and check the wiring in his home.
