Hurt, no treatment Made Jul 10, 2022, sent to the company Jul 13, 2022, published by CPSC Jul 27, 2022
The product, in the report: 18 inches tall white and green plastic portable folding step stool/chair with handle. 11 x 8.66 x 18.11 inches. 2.61 pounds. ASIN: B091MQSPSJ
The item I was using was a foldable step stool/seat that was advertised as having a weight limit of 250 lbs. I weigh under 200 lbs (around 180) and only ever used the item to sit down. The stool nearly came apart under me on several occasions when it came apart at the hinges, but I continued use as I was able to push the pieces all back into place. However, after only using the item for just over a month, it broke entirely while I was using it as a seat in the shower. I fell backwards onto the shower floor and thankfully only suffered from some bruising and soreness. But obviously the potential injury could have been much worse if I had hit my head or if I had been using it as a step stool (which is one of the advertised uses of the item).
