The product, in the report: Step Stool (two steps)

This caller is reporting her two step, step stool purchased around October/November 2009. The caller states that she used the step stool to get in and out of her raised bed and had no problems with it until Tuesday, January 13, 2015 when she was standing on the step stool to adjust window shade. After the window was adjusted she began to step down but the left side of the step stool broke off sending her falling to the right, hitting her wrist.

The caller’s husband drove her to the Tulane Medical Center Emergency in downtown Louisiana where she was diagnosed with a fracture of the right radius of her right wrist. After approximately five to six hours, her bone was set, a cast was on her right wrist and she was instructed to be seen by an orthopedic physician to be sure the bone was healing properly.

The caller contacted the retailer/distributor January 16th, 2015 (manufacturer is in China). This does not appear to be one of the stools recalled with release# 12-001.
