The product, in the report: Mloong kids step stool, gray.
Purchased an Mloong step stool from amazon. In the product description it says certified by the CPSC. On the box and the product itself it says amputation hazard if the steps are not locked. There us no real locking mechanism. There is a lip the top step can snap in to, however it does not lock. Twice in the first day the top step “unlocked” while our 2 and 4 year old used it properly. The top step slammed down. Thankfully no toes were in the way or we would have been headed to the ER. I’m surprised this product was certified as safe.
