The product, in the report: Report of Product Failure and Injury Broken Step Stool I am reporting a product failure involving a step stool that broke during normal use, resulting in injury risk and physical harm. The step stool collapsed while I was using it in a routine, expected manner. There were no visible signs of damage, cracking, or instability prior to the failure. The product appeared to be in normal condition before use. When it broke, I fell and experienced injury (pain and burning sensation afterward). I was still able to walk, but the incident could have easily resulted in a more serious injury. I am concerned because this product failure occurred without warning. If this had happened to a more vulnerable person (for example, someone older, a child, or someone on blood thinners), it could have resulted in severe injury such as head trauma or internal bleeding. The product is the big rhino folding stool. I went through the top of the stool.
