The product, in the report: TRUELIVING from Dollar General Step Stool I bought the item directly from Dollar General. There is no product information directly on the stool, no adhesive tag. There was only a loose cardboard tag. I bought the light blue, perhaps light teal color. They also had grey in store. These are now on clearance for about $1. I asked someone with the same stool to take a picture of the tag and I have uploaded it. Model SKU 27850101

I stepped on a step stool that is brand new, only used by my toddler a few times. It broke which caused my foot to slid off of it and I landed awkwardly, which hurt my back. I am now laying down in bed and can hardly get up. I did read the tag which shows proper use, it says keep 2 feet on the stool, not one foot. Well it is a “step stool.” Obviously, you have to step on and off or up while only one foot is placed on it unless you jump which I assume would be improper use. I am around 200 pounds. There was nothing under the stool but a clean flat linoleum floor. The floor was not wet or slippery. The stool did not move, it broke because of my weight. As you can see the weight limit is 300 pounds. I have not received medical treatment yet as my back hurts too much to get in the car. I assume I will need medical attention. I saw online another stool that was recalled because of a similar issue and thought it important to have that addressed immediately. What if someone is holding a newborn on the stool and falls?
