The product, in the report: Tri Cam two step Gorilla step ladder model number AS-2PT

I was standing squarely on top of the two step gorilla ladder while cleaning a kitchen cabinet when the ladder collapsed. After a sudden whoosh I was on the floor facing the opposite direction. My foot was bent sideways and looked very distorted. I dragged my self into the living room and called 911 as I felt that I may go into shock. I was brought to the emergency room and give pain meds, and x-rays and crutches which I was too wobbly to use. At home I realized I had a giant bruise on my breast and a small bruise on my thigh. I was told to follow up with a podiatrist. Turns out that my foot was dislocated, a lys-franc injury and my breast had an apple size bruise. I was unable to return to work as an occupational therapist due to being nonweightbearing. I have post traumatic arthritis and unresolved lemon size hematoma and smaller cysts in my right breast. My son brought the ladder back to Home Depot and they put a sticker on it an told him they would send it back to the manufacturer. He then called the number on the ladder and was told over the phone that the company would pay for time out of work and medical expenses. Since I did not know what to ask for or the extent of my disability I sought the assistance of an attorney. Currently the company Tri cam is offer very minor compensation for a serious and life altering injury. Subsequently I found out that the three step ladder had been recalled with the same defect, the top platform cracks and the ladder falls completely flat, I fell three feet! I hope you can prevent others individuals from serious injury by looking into recalling this two step ladder.
