Hurt, no treatment Made Jun 6, 2021, sent to the company Jun 8, 2021, published by CPSC Jun 23, 2021
The product, in the report: Delxo 2 Step Stool Stepladders Lightweight White Folding Step Ladder with Handgrip Anti-Slip Sturdy and Wide Pedal Steel Ladder Mini-Stool 250lbs 2-Feet . It was purchased on Amazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LMYZIYU/). It is flagged as an Amazon choice product. The included documentation appears to have a product code of WK2031D. It was ordered on May 28, 2021.
The product is a folding two step step ladder. Its feet are hard plastic and have absolutely no traction on hard surfaces (e.g. wood, tile, asphalt, etc.). When I tried to use it on our linoleum kitchen floor it skidded around under me with the slightest motion. When I tried to use it on our asphalt driveway to unload a bicycle from our car’s roof rack (I thought the rougher surface would provide better traction), it kicked right out from under me. I got a little banged up when my arm hit the roof rack and then roof of car, but I did not fall and I don’t think I was seriously injured, but I certainly could have been very seriously injured if my arm had hit the roof rack slightly differently or I had dropped the bicycle on my head.
