The product, in the report: This is a Mohawk carpeting called “Exquisite Attraction” which has a color named “Harmony”. It is a product known as “Smart Strand”. We had it installed in our family room, steps, 2nd floor hallway, and 2 bedrooms.

Purchased carpeting made by the Mohawk Group (“Exquisite attraction”) which was installed by flooring contractor on June 6, 2023. Within a week we noticed the a large amount of carpet fiber were showing up in our vacuum cleaner and that carpet fibers were all over are young grandchildren’s clothes as well as on our clothes as well. waited a few weeks (thinking it would stop but the problem persisted and we contacted the flooring contractor who filed a claim with Mohawk. Mohawk had an inspector stop out on 8-16-23 whose report said our vacuum cleaner was set “properly” but “aggressive” and Mohawk denied the claim. We borrowed a family member’s vacuum cleaner and the same thing is happening. What we are most concerned about is not the longevity of the carpet but the potential health impact airborne fibers which continue to show up on our clothes. My wife has developed a persistent cough and we are wondering if this is linked.
