The product, in the report: Barclay Well Woven-runner rug 2x7

I purchased a runner rug for my hallway from Amazon and received it on October 29. I unsealed it, on my bed , on November 12 and then placed it in my upstairs hallway. Within a few hours I began to experience itching on my hands and neck. As the evening continued the itching increased and I took a shower . At this point I did not think it may be the carpet that had caused this. I went to bed for the evening and was awoken by midnight with severe itching and welts on my head and neck. Again I showered and by 2:30 in the morning I went to the Emergency Room because of the hives , swelling of my neck and head and some lip swelling. I also had some abdominal discomfort. Upon arrival to the ER I was immediately treated for an anaphylactic reaction with steroids and epinephrine injection . I was sent home 5 hours later. I fell asleep at home on my bed , where the carpet had been unsealed , and woke up 2 hours later with even more extensive hives and swelling now encompassing my head, neck, hands , groin and legs. I returned to the emergency room and was once again treated for an anaphylactic reaction with 2 doses of epinephrine given and a higher dose of steroids. I was then admitted into the hospital. Within a few hours of admission I was quickly taken to the ICU for closer observation due to hoarseness in my throat and increased lip swelling and facial welts. I remained in the ICU for 3 days and required yet another epinephrine injection and continued steroids and antihistamines. I remained for an additional day on a medical surgical floor before before discharge. I missed 2 work shifts due to hospitalization and 2 further days to recover since my discharge.
