The product, in the report: Bottorff dual surface 0.33 non slip rug pad, size 8 x 10 rectangular.

I purchased a Bottorff dual surface non slip rug pad from Wayfair on December 10th, 2024. When I removed it from the plastic packaging it had a strong chemical/sulfuric odor. I rolled it out and tried airing it out with an open window for a few hours. Six days after it was installed it still had a strong chemical odor that could be smelled throughout the house and was mildly nauseating. I removed the rug from the house and the smell has gone away. I am reporting this product because I have never experienced such an odor from a rug pad before and believe this could potentially be harmful to people with respiratory issues.
