I purchased the Utopia Towels Cotton Banded Rug, Bath Mat from Amazon (Item model number UT0556) which is sold by Utopia Deals (phone number 6462130007) is is manufactured in Pakistan. The mat was so saturated with some kind of pesticide that everyone exposed to it developed respiratory symptoms and sore throats. The chemical is so strong that it had to be scrubbed from the washing machine repeatedly. These mats are marketed as organic and have clearly been exposed to some form of pesticide that makes this product a danger for human (and animal) exposure. We are bringing this item to a tox lab (UCD) which will perform an analysis of the chemical to determine what we were exposed to. This is a dangerous product that should be recalled.
