I ordered a round Nourison Passion Light Blue 8’ x Round Area -Rug, Boho, Traditional, Easy -Cleaning, Non Shedding, Bed Room, Living Room, Hallway, (8’ Round), for my home office from Amazon and it arrived a few days ago. I unpacked the rug two days ago and noticed a very strong chemical smell that made me feel nauseous. I though the smell would dissipate quickly but still was feeling ill while in my home office and noticed my dog would not stay on the rug. Her dog bed for the office was right on top of the rug so this was unusual behavior for her. I also started coughing with congestion while working in my office. I then decided to move the rug out to my garage and initiate a return with Amazon. After moving the rug to my garage I started feeling better and stopped coughing. I then went onto the Amazon web site and reviewed earlier one star rating for the product and read that several people have notice the same issue of a strong chemical smell.
