  1. Emergency room

Made Nov 25, 2020, sent to the company Dec 15, 2020, published by CPSC Dec 31, 2020

The product, in the report: Walmart Better Homes and Gardens non slip Bath Mat with mesh backing 30” x 20” light grey shaggy 1/2” fur on the top of matt darker grey mesh on the bottom of mat printed on tag the front of mat is 100% polyester.

Early morning was going to get a change of cloths while exiting the bathroom my shift in weight with one foot on the defective bathmat, on a dry floor the bath mat acted like a skate board and sent me down right into the door handle of the door I was exiting. The slip caused deep puncture wounds with heavy bleeding went to hospital, CT scan showed multiple fractures due to the area of injury, stitches or staples was not an option. Eye swelled shut the hospital did what they could to glue my head back together. This slip and injury was the direct fault of the defective Walmart Better Homes and Gardens shaggy bath mat. A week later still have black eye with possible brain damage, possible sight loss, constant headaches, severe pain, facial discoloration, and scars expected on face around left eye permanently.
