  1. No incident, no one hurt

The product, in the report: Plunge All In residential cold plunge. It is an electrically powered cold plunge and chiller system designed to hold, circulate, filter, and chill water for residential cold therapy use. The unit includes a tub, pump, chiller, water filter housing assembly, internal plumbing, electrical components, GFCI plug, side vents, and internal fan components. The product is used indoors in a residential garage. The issue involves water leaking from the internal filter housing area while the tub is filled and the unit is powered on.

I am reporting a potential safety issue involving a Plunge All In cold plunge. The product is an electrically powered cold plunge and chiller system that circulates and chills water.

The unit has a recurring filter housing leak. When the tub was filled and powered on, water began leaking heavily from the bottom and internal filter housing area. I confirmed the drain valves were closed, a new filter was installed, and the leak was not coming from the top filter cap. After removing the side panel, the leak appeared to be coming from the internal filter housing area.

My concern is that water is leaking inside and underneath an electrically powered product that contains a pump, chiller system, internal components, wiring, electrical connections, a GFCI plug, and moving fan components. Plunge troubleshooting instructions also require the unit to be filled, powered on, and leak tested while internal panels are removed and the chiller fan is exposed. This creates concern about possible electric shock, shorting, pump or chiller damage, slip hazard from water on the floor, or injury while troubleshooting around exposed internal components.

No physical injury has occurred so far. I stopped using the product because of the leak and safety concern. The product was being used in a normal residential garage setting for its intended purpose, filling the tub with water and turning on the chiller and circulation system.

This same filter housing issue was previously repaired during the warranty period, but the same area is leaking again. Plunge has now determined that the filter housing assembly needs replacement.
