The product, in the report: Pearl Whirlpool Tub

Please see the emails below (read from bottom up). It appears they discontinued this product due to this problem.

Hi, I’m sorry but no, this system is discontinued. The way they build the system back in this time the control and the pump was built as one unit, for you that mean you will need a new pump, control box and starter button. I know a costumer, who got the same problem, install a wall switch to cut the power to the unit from the bathroom. Also here I join a document to show you different type of system to replaced your. Thanks!

The continues to be a chronic problem. We do not use this tub much and the only way we can seem to keep the tub from running when the water is gong from the tub is to turn the circuit breaker off. Any other suggestions?

HI [REDACTED], That is the Pearl Multispeed system. My first suggestion is to clean the water detector. The small button just above one of the jets approximately the size of a dime, remove this by turning it counter clockwise and applying force to the surface. Once it is removed clean the back and the little rod behind it and reinstall it. Often this is all that is required for you to revive the tub and make it work properly. The water detector prevents the pump from operating without water however because of water deposits like calcium, it can prevent the detector from detecting the water and will not allow the pump to start. Let me know if this does not work. [REDACTED] Advisor - Technical Services Conseiller - Services Techniques MAAX Bath Inc. / Bain MAAX Inc. HI [REDACTED], there are a few things that we can suggest but in an effort of not sending you down the wrong path because we are not certain of the actual electronics in your tub, could you send me a picture of the bath tub including top side control?? There are a few options of what your tub may have in it and each has their own nuances [REDACTED] Advisor - Technical Services Conseiller - Services Techniques MAAX Bath Inc. / Bain MAAX Inc. ________________________________________ From: [REDACTED] Sent: October 29, 2012 12:55 PM To: M-Sainte-Marie-Aftersales Service Cc: [REDACTED] Subject: Pearl Whirlpool Tub We have a Pearl Whirlpool Tub in our guest bathroom. We do not use this very much. We did use it 2 days ago and it worked fine. Then, several hours later, in the middle of the night, the motor turned on by itself for about 30 seconds. It did this several times until I turned off the circuit breaker. I turned the circuit breaker back on today (after using the red “test” button on the GFI circuit breaker switch) and the motor started randomly coming on and off. Am interested in troubleshooting suggestions.

    Thank you. [REDACTED]
