The product, in the report: Microdry Ultimate Luxury Memory Foam bath mat

Four days ago my daughter was getting some things out of her shower at college and slipped on her bat mat and hit her cheek against the corner of the wall causing a concussion. Turns out she has a Microdry bath mat purchased from Bed Bath & Beyond. I asked if that was what she has because I have the same bath mat in front of our shower door and several times I have slipped and almost went through the glass shower. This mat should be hung to dry at least a few times a week. I don’t know if there is a caution tag placed on this mat when purchasing it, if not, there should be. My daughter actually works at a BB&B and is going to look into this.

The product, in the report: Ultimate Luxury Memory Foam Bath Mat. Color was blue. Size is 17x24. It is still being sold online at Bed Bath and Beyond - this is where I purchased it. I highly suggest you all visit this link. It is informative. Especially the fake reviews posted by the company after the review that I (customerMM) posted on 1/21/12. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=120822&RN=1078#BVRRWidgetID

Here is the full name of the product: Microdry® Ultimate Luxury Memory Foam Bath Mat The manufacture is named: Mindsinsync.

They say it is only sold at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I highly recommend that you check out this link: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=120822&RN=1078#BVRRWidgetID

I did not have the product long, I would say no more than 2 weeks. As it was a bath mat I was using the product by having it sit on the floor of my bathroom, outside my shower. When I purchased the product it was marked as slip-resistant.

I had gone into my shower to gather up some items to take out before taking my shower for the night. I placed my right foot outside of shower onto the mat, and the mat slipped. It caused me to fall straight back and hit my head onto my ceramic tile floor.

I went to the ER and was diagnosed with a concussion (mild traumatic brain injury) and a cervical sprain. I was out of work for one week and worked part time for an additional two weeks.

I received after-care from a general general practitioner (details available upon request) and a neurologist (details available upon request).

I suffered from moderate post concussion syndrome for many months some to this day.

The manufacture’s claims that the mat is “slip-resistant” is false. They do claim that the mat should not be used around water. It is a BATH mat.

Look at the description on the website and tell me they mean that it should not be used around water.
