The product, in the report: 16 inch Suction Grab Bar Grab Bar by Vive - Suction Shower Handle & Bathroom Balance Bar - Safety Hand Rail Support - .)
The product is a 16 inch suction grab bar manufactured by Vive - vivehealth.com. The grab bar affixes to a wall by use of two suction cups. Each bar has an indicator at each end that shows green if attached and red if not safely attached. When affixed to a tile walled shower according to manufacturer’s instructions with green showing at both ends of the bar, the grab bar detached upon being used in the course of my taking a shower. This happened several times both during use during a shower and actually falling of the wall when not in use. A second grab bar from this company showed the same unreliability. I was not injured, but I am concerned others might be.
