The product, in the report: Danco Core Puller for [REDACTED], part # 86712. Designed to attach to shower valve and provide means to remove a stuck valve cartridge.
I was using the Danco Core Puller for [REDACTED] Posi-Temp Cartridges (part #86712) according to the instructions. When I put a significant force on the handle to remove the cartridge it snapped. The sudden release caused me to fall into the wall, narrowly missing the protruding remnant of the too. The soft metal of the tool is too soft for the intended use. Had my head hit the tool as I fell toward the wall I would have had at the least a bruise, and probably a significant cut. Since head wounds bleed profusely, I most likely would have ended up in the emergency room.
