The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

    The product, in the report: Circo Bath Caddy, Hard plastic, Shaped like a frog 13 3/8” W x 5 1/16” D x 9” H

I purchased the children’s bathroom caddy at Target. It is supposed to be attached to the bathtub wall with suction cups. Before installing, the plastic caddy fell from the dresser and cut open my three year old daughter’s upper arm. Upon inspection of the caddy, I found that the bottom edge of the caddy, the part that would likely hit a child in the tub if the suction cups fail, is EXTREMELY sharp. The the hard plastic of the caddy is not rounded to prevent injury. This thin flat bottom edge of the caddy is what caused the injury. The cut it caused was about 3 inches long and 1/4 inch across. My concern is that since this item is not designed to be attached permanently to the wall it is not safe to install since it is sharp. It fell in a similar way it would fall in a tub, and caused this injury.
