I purchased a “Balance-Assist Safety Grab Bar, UPC Code 0007063114045, from Kroger Marketplace,[REDACTED] about May 27, 2024. I tried it out on our master bathtub rim, and the suction was great. On June 2nd I placed it on the wall of my shower/bathtub planning to use it in 10 or 15 minutes. I soon heard a loud crash, and found the grab bar had come loose and fallen. I was very surprised, however, I then placed it on the wide tub rim, and again the suction seemed great. Five minutes later I came back and barely touched it, and it fell over. I then thought, if I, or anyone, especially an older person, had relied on it to keep our balance, we could have had a very serious fall and injury. I then determined to return it, and talk to the manager. Kroger refunded me with no problem, and the manager said he would pull the rest from the shelf. I think it should be pulled from every shelf in America, and imagine it has already caused several injuries.
