The product, in the report: Glass shower door 47” x 3/8 x 70” By Pass Sliding shower door in oil -rubbed bronze with frameless pebbled glass

This caller is reporting the explosion of his shower door purchased from a New York Home Depot in July 2015. He had just finished his shower and was preparing to get out, he had not turned the water off but was opening the shower door when it exploded, cutting both of his hands, his left foot with the heel of the left foot receiving a deeper cut. The glass went from inside and just outside the shower to the end of the six foot floor. The caller states that the surprise of the incident causes him to believe that he was temporarily in shock and this is substantiated by his wife who returned to the home 45 minutes after the incident and stated that he appeared to her to be in a state of shock. The consumer treated himself for the cuts and did not require a physician. The caller has not contacted the manufacturer yet but does intend to contact them. He is asking that the product involved in this incident be inspected and recalled with reimbursement as the remedy.
