The product, in the report: Maax tigris neo round shower; The product SKU # 6714730.
On 03/07/15 while the consumer and his wife were having breakfast they heard a loud noise. The consumer’s wife walked into the lower level bathroom and noticed half of the shower glass door shattered into pieces. The glass panel was 14” by 68”.
On 03/07/15 the consumer contacted Menards and informed them of the incident. The rep from Menards told the consumer they would reach out to the firm and get back to him. The consumer received a call today 03/13/15 from [REDACTED] (FTDGPLUMBING@menards.com) who told him that the firm will provide a replacement panel and any other parts the consumer would need. The consumer was told by [REDACTED] that since the firm is located in Canada that they could not provide a technician to replace the parts.
The consumer and his wife had taken a shower a few hours before the incident occurred.
The consumer feels the shower poses a safety hazard and should be investigated.
No one was injured in the incident. There are no prior incidents.
