The product, in the report: Glass wall and fiberglass corner shower kit
On February 28, 2016 I purchased an Olympia Corner Wall Set and Maax Olympia Shower Base and Glass Door kit to replace an existing shower. The process of installing the walls, base and new fixtures was completed on March 20, 2016. On March 24, 2016 my boyfriend was in the process of placing the right glass panel and as he was holding the panel it spontaneously combusted. The explosion of glass cut his hand and distributed glass through out the bathroom, master closet and family room.
The ability for these products to spontaneously combust while being placed or in place is extremely dangerous and they should be removed form the market.
The fact that I spent money on this defective product that has the ability to cause great bodily harm is incredibly disappointing and frightening.
