The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Mar 8, 2021, sent to the company Mar 18, 2021, published by CPSC Apr 1, 2021

The product, in the report: Tempered glass sliding shower door

One of the two tempered glass doors exploded into my shower stall, while I was in the stall, sending glass shards all over the shower stall, bathroom floor, hallway and into my downstairs living room. The force of the explosion could have resulted in bodily harm, loss of eyesight or even loss of life.

Made Nov 14, 2012, sent to the company Dec 7, 2012, published by CPSC Jan 2, 2013

The product, in the report: Sliding shower door, for shower stall, 1/4” glass. This was installed in the house when we purchased the house, but I know that the bathroom was renovated in 2007, so it’s approximately 5 years old.

We have sliding glass shower doors. One of the doors did not roll correctly in the track and often derailed. I have fixed it 5-6 times in the past, simply by slightly lifting the door and getting it back on track, but this time, very suddenly, whole thing shattered all at once. I received several lacerations on my torso and my leg, and had bits of glass all over me. It was very difficult to get out of the bathroom which was covered in glass.
