The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Patriot Power Generator 1500Watts, Black

Patriot Power Generator sparking and smoking, serial#U16010533, there is a recall for some serial numbers but not this one, that I can find. Called 4Patriots company, and they said it was only grey colored ones, but mine is black and like the one in the picture of the current recall.

The product, in the report: Patriot Power Generator 1800. 40 lbs. 15”Lx 7.75”W x 11.25”H. Lithium Ion Phosphate Battery,

I purchased a generator 1800 from 4patriots last year. It has been stored in an air conditioned closet until this week. I plugged it in to recharge the unit. It blew a circuit breaker. I tried it again and it made a loud electrical crackling noise, blowing the circuit breaker again. This scares me and I fear an electrical fire. I’m afraid to even keep it in my house or garage. I see that the generator 1500 had a recall for similar defect, fire hazard. The unit is like new, never been used or recharged until this week.
