As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Jun 25, 2020, sent to the company Jul 24, 2020, published by CPSC Aug 7, 2020

The product, in the report: John Deere portable generator inverter HR-G1700i, prod. no. RAS170230747849, ser. no. F08 8000526, purchased 12 July 2010

Leaking gas tank, part no 33K6110122, at tank nozzle (cracked) for fuel line in John Deere portable generator inverter HR-G1700i, prod. no. RAS170230747849, ser. no. F08 8000526, purchased 12 July 2010 used once about 5 years ago and sitting on shelf since. Tried to start yesterday 24 June 2020 and noticed gas running out of bottom of unit as tank was being filled. Opened plastic casing and found crack in plastic gas tank. Discontinued product apparently re-branded from Subaru Robbin R1700i and new part number for tank apparently apparently is 33K-61101-32. Fire hazard with tank leaking gas on hot electrical generator - should be recalled in my opinion.
