The product, in the report: Genetator

The consumer smelled fuel in his garage for months (possibly years), but did know exactly where it was coming from. The fuel tank has discoloration on it, where it looks like it has been leaking gas.

The fuel tank has a textured coating on it (top & bottom), which spread over time. The bottom half of the tank shows more discoloration than the top half.

He called the manufacture and was referred to their repair center. The rep. at the repair center, referred him back to the manufacture. He later called a local Home Depot Store and asked for the tool center. From there he was referred to Home Depot Reverse Logistics, which is their repair center. He called that number and they said he could bring it to a local store and they would send it out. The consumer asked about the cost and they could not answer that question. Plus the generator weighs over 100 lbs.

His generator was not included in [REDACTED], but it presents a similar problem.
