The product, in the report: Honeywell Gas Generator - Serial #8613816

I have a natural gas generator outside my home. On 7/23/19, at 5:00 AM, the carbon detector in my home went off. Although it is only a few months old, I nevertheless thought it might be the batteries which I changed. It continued to ring after that so I called 911. The Fire Department responded and their gauges indicated there was carbon monoxide throughout the house, heaviest in the garage. They brought in huge fans, opened doors and windows, and aired out the house. I did not go to the hospital, although they offered. The electrician who installed the generator refuses to return my phone calls, so I finally called Honeywell directly. They said they would send out someone to check the unit and the installation, but no one has responded since Thursday, August first. The unit is turned off but I am still very concerned. I have pictures of the installation but don’t see a way to send them to you.

The product, in the report: Unit is a Honeywell HW7500E portable electric generator manufactured by Northshore Power Systems. LLC [REDACTED]

I purchased this generator from Electric Generators Direct and just after the warranty ran out, the carburetor started leaking fuel badly whenever I start it. I stared my genrator monthly and let it run for an hour. All fuel was fresh. Upon investigation, my repair shop says the float value chrome platting was defective and has failed, thus causing the float value to fail to cut off the fuel when then bowl is full. Fuel then overflows the carburetor and spills out and onto the ground creating a pool of raw fuel underneath the generator. The generator was a Honeywell HW7500E 7.5 KWatt electric start model.

The product, in the report: portable generator

I bought a home generator about 1 year ago and have operated it for a total of about 30 minutes. It has been kept dry and dust-free in a shed, so it is essentially brand new.

Yesterday (November 5, 2011) I started it and a large flow of gasoline immediately flooded out onto the ground. I shut off the engine and stopped the gas flow with the valve on the engine. I have repaired it and the cause was a rubber gas line becoming disconnected from the nipple it was slid over. My opinion is that the gas line was too short and the ring clamp that was supposed to hold it in place was too weak to provide any significant clamping force.

The product, in the report: Generator is red, weighs 65 pounds, produces 2000 watts of current, scary as hell when the fuel filter begins leaking gasoline into the engine housing enclosure while the machine is running.

Purchased new Honeywell portable power generator model HW2000i in September of 2010, and upon first use in October of 2011 the plastic fuel filter came apart and created a fuel leak inside the generators housing. The generator was only run for a total of one and a half hours before this happened. I was in close proximity to the generator and smelled the strong odor of fuel and quickly shut it down preventing a possible fire and eventually an explosion when the plastic fuel tank melted and added another 1 and 1/2 gallons of fuel to that which was leaking.
