The product, in the report: 6000W Propane Generator
On October 30,2011 we experienced a heavy snow storm in the northeast. I lost power and ran a Gentron generator. It ran for 32 hours (note the only and first time the generator was used). The generator quit and we had no power at that time. I went out to check it and no power was generating. I removed the cover plate on the generator and saw there had been a fire inside. I asked a friend who is an electronic engineer to look at it. He said there was a loose connector that was not tied down by a wire strap that moved into the strator assembly PIN J06500-D-02 which shorted the strator and probably damaged the automatic voltage regulator assembly. PIN JD6500-G-09. He told me the system had faulty design and construction technology. He suggested I take pictures so the company might make corrections. He also stated he would not purchase this system for reasons of safety and lack of knowledge from their technical support.
