The product, in the report: Gasoline powered generator.
Coleman Powermate electric generator leaks gasoline from the fuel cap vent while running. Contacted the Coleman company and they sent me another fuel cap. This one also leaked fuel from the vent cap while running.. This generator is model PM0401851. Originally contacted the company in 2010 (est) and again in 2012 (est). I am attempting to sell this generator and don’t feel right doing this with this problem.

The product, in the report: Coleman Powermate Generator Transfer Switch. 30 Amp, 10 circuit Model No. PA0650080 Serial No. 81680445
Coleman Powermate Manual Transfer Switch, Model No. PA0650080 30 Amp 10 Circuit
Transfer switch has been installed and functional for around a year. Switch was wired according to manufacturer’s instructions. There is a test switch and pair of lights to indicate that line power is available. When I toggled the test switch the last time, it literally blew up with the intensity of a firecracker. It burned my thumb (which I used to toggle the switch) and left a black residue on my thumb and forefinger. Both the rocker switch and light have literally disappeared leaving plastic shells. I found the switch toggle, a piece of spring wire, and the red jeweled cover for the lights about 15 feet away.
Coleman Powermate addressed this problem by telling me that they subcontracted the manufacture of this device, so they don’t feel responsible. They also recommended that I disconnect all power from this dangerous product.
