The product, in the report: Metal & glass top desk called Flight Desk and sold at Z Gallerie http://www.zgallerie.com/p-13150-flight-desk.aspx

i purchased a glass top desk from Z gallery. I only had a laptop on the desk and one day when I was not home, the glass top shattered into tiny pieces. Most of the glass fell into the desk itself (drawers) and splattered around the desk on the floor. When cleaning the glass pieces out of the desk, I noticed that there is no real support anywhere under the entire piece of glass to support its weight anywhere int he centers. The only thing holding the glass top is a 1/4” ledge going around the perimeter of the desk. After cleaning all the glass pieces in a box, I weighed the box and it weighs about 30 lbs. This is very unsafe and too much weight for a glass top to be suspended on the thin ledge without any support. Luckily no one was home when this happened and there were no children or pets around the desk at the time of this happening. I feel that all desks of this model need to be recalled for safety reasons and have an additional support bar of some sort paced under the glass top to keep this from happening with other desks. The desk is called the Flight Desk and sold at Z gallery ( http://www.zgallerie.com/p-13150-flight-desk.aspx )
