The product, in the report: https://www.potterybarn.com/products/modern-farmhouse-wide-dresser/?subGroupId=modern-farmhouse-wide-dresser-SPAF-finish-remainder&position=6 This is an example of the product where you can see the door pulls are at the top of the drawer
Pottery Barn Modern Farmhouse Bedroom Furniture. The dresser and the nightstands have a top drawer where the pull knob is placed at the top of the drawer, not in the center. When you go to close the drawer if you have your hand on the top of the knob, your fingers get jammed in between the top of the dresser/nightstand and the door pulls. It is painful and could lead to deep cuts. Drawer pulls should be centered in the drawers not placed at the top.

The product, in the report: [REDACTED] Brookdale 9-Drawer Wide Dresser Dimensions 64” w x 19” d x 40.5” h
I just had a new Pottery Barn dresser fall on me (delivered yesterday). I paid for delivery and installation. Two delivery drivers assembled it outside and put it in our bedroom yesterday. They didn’t anchor it to the wall, verbally warn me to anchor it, leave written instructions for anchoring or any warning to anchor, or leave hardware to anchor it. I had some, but not all drawers open (maybe 3-4 drawers). I was measuring the drawers to see what size organizers I could put in them. I closed the top middle drawer and took a step to my right to walk away. The dresser fell on me when I wasn’t touching it, so the entire dresser collapsed on me without me catching it. The bottom left drawer broke. I scraped up my hip and I’m waiting to see if I have a bruise (same hip I had surgery on twice in 2021). I have a three month old and the dresser would have crushed her if she had been in there on her play mat.
I called customer service and the man I spoke to was very apologetic. He read some installation instructions which said the dresser should have been mounted to the wall. He transferred me to a more senior representative. She wanted to verify that no mounting hardware was left in a drawer (none). I repeated that the delivery drivers who delivered and installed the dresser did not mount it to the wall, did not leave instructions or hardware for me to mount it to the wall, and did not warn me to mount it.
My biggest concern is that they don’t actually change anything and a child gets seriously hurt. They need to take this seriously and do something other than continue the current training with delivery people. I think they should have every customer sign a document verifying that mounting hardware was left, an instruction sheet was left, or at least that the customer was warned that the furniture was not safe without proper mounting.

The product, in the report: Logan Desk with Glass Hutch & Cabinet Base, Alabaster, 110” Wide, Item #2956217
I purchased the Pottery Barn Logan Desk with Glass Hutch and Cabinet Base in March 2017. In December 2021, for no reason, and without being touched, the glass in one of the hutches shattered and all of the glass broke. It stayed intact in the door frame until I opened the door and the glass fell out. I have 2 of these hutches and this only happened to one of the two. There was not injury that occurred as a result of this. Pottery Barn told me this was normal wear and tear.

No one hurt Made Jul 15, 2011, published by CPSC Aug 8, 2011
The product, in the report: Bedford desk, drawers and desk organizer in white from Pottery Barn
I purchased a Bedford Desk from Pottery Barn and noticed a chemical smell coming from it, especially when I open the desk drawer. I thought the odor would dissipate after time, but it has not. After sitting at the desk for long periods on some days, I’ve come away with an intense headache. It is my belief that chemicals used to hold the “pressed wood” together are making me sick.
Pottery Barn was responsive by phone, but shifted my complaint to their insurance company, Carl Warren & Co. After several weeks, I got a call from [REDACTED] who did not identify herself as being with the insurance company, simply that she was calling about the desk. She told me they were looking into how to help me and in the interim, she’s send me a $100 gift card for the trouble. I told her I wasn’t interested in a gift card, but a refund. She said she’d send it anyway.
I got a letter several days later “confirming our agreement to send a Merchandise Card in the amount of $100.00”. There was no agreement and she has not returned my calls. It seems as though this is an attempt on the part of the insurance company to close this claim without addressing my problem. I’m still waiting for Pottery Barn to refund the purchase price of this desk.
